Summer Camp

  • BPC Preschool Summer Camp 2018:

    “Superhero Training Camp”

When:  June 4 – 8, 2018 (5 consecutive days) for three, four, and five year olds from 9:30am – 12:30pm each day.

What: Superhero Training Camp!  Each day of camp, we will focus on a Superhero who illustrates a characteristic like honesty, kindness, telling the truth, helping others, self-control, tolerance, focus, and more, all with the goal of helping children learn on their level ways to grow emotionally and socially. Every day we will add to a Superhero costume that will come home at the end of the week…capes, wrist bands, necklaces, masks, etc.  Each of these will be symbolic of a super person.

We also will incorporate mindfulness into our daily summer camp lessons.  Two of our own staff members, Glenda Lynch and Shannon Long, have studied the “MindUp” Curriculum, now in use in many local elementary schools.  Mrs. Lynch and Mrs. Long have conducted two workshops with our staff this year to educate us about this curriculum, and we are beginning to incorporate many of these techniques and ideas in our daily schedules and will continue to do so next year.  Summer camp is just the beginning!

Only children currently in our program will be allowed to participate in summer camp.  Your child may or may not have one of his/her current teachers, but we will place classmates together.  Your child may also be in a different classroom than usual.

Cost:  $140/child. Registration will begin on April 23rd. Please fill out the registration form that was placed in your child’s blue bag and put it with a check in the mailbox on Mrs. Schmoyer’s office door.  Deadline for registration is Monday, May 14.

We are looking forward to a fun week!
